Unshaken Faith

When on glass does the emerald sunset glow
When fair child set at yonder window show
Watching passerby boats wondering where they'll go
Whispers on the wind maybe someday a happy child they will show

This child could tell her story, sing it on the winds
Claiming everything in this world that she ever wanted
Saying to the world i am me, and i want more
Going without she is no stranger to
Like locks put on love someone put a lock on her heart
Only able to come and go, but not to speak
Living in total silence has scarred her

She longs for the day when she can sing like a song bird
She hopes for a day when she no longer has to beg for love
She dreams for the world and cries its tears
She lives in the moment and casts her cares to the wind

She writes her name in the dust on the ground
She is broken, ashamed, left alone in a world that refuses to slow down
She begs for clarity, solace and right answers
She is tired of lies, slander and everything dark

She wanders the lost seas of loneliness
She beckons to her inner child
Where have you gone, and for what
Please don't leave me

She sees the truth makers and longs for its constant
Her true hope is realized in a rising awake nation
A nation that pours it's love out for the broken hearted
A nation that shares her blessings, stops being greedy

One day she whispers to herself
It will all be okay one day
People will no longer search and not find
They will know what they want, they will not harm others to get it

In the distant sun she sees a great world
Unchained by sin
Unbroken by pain and suffering
Shiny and made new

She is afraid if she says it out loud it will be taken
But she will not be shaken
She cannot be mistaken
What would the world be without faith that can't be shaken
